Dr. Nasir Quraishi
 
Dr. Nasir Quraishi is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. He is also currently serving as the Head of Service for Spinal Surgery at the Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Here, he leads one of the largest teaching institutes for spinal surgery in the world, training 15 spinal fellows every year.

He completed his training in the University of Manchester, Imperial College London and Cambridge/East Anglia. Following this, he received advanced spinal fellowship training in Toronto, and was then awarded the prestigious Norman Capner Travelling Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons in England to the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA. Upon returning to the UK, he began as a Consultant Spine Surgeon in Oxford, moving a year later to take up his current post in Nottingham in 2009. More recently in 2014, he was awarded the very prestigious Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) Travelling Fellowship visiting four host spinal surgery departments in the USA.

Mr Quraishi is an award winning international presenter and author of several publications. He has also led presentations in peer reviewed journals and participated as a faculty member of numerous international spine societies, including AOSpine.
